I don't really believe in spiritual things, but having run a clothing store for a long time, I've experienced something many times.
There's an item in the store that hasn't sold for a while, and hardly anyone picks it up.
I'll take it off the rack, hold it up to a mirror with a staff member, or try it on, and we'll say something like, "This is good, why isn't it selling?" Then I'll put it back in its original spot.
And then, for some reason, it often sells that day or a few days later.
And this has happened dozens of times over many years, so it's no longer surprising.
Out of thousands of items, that specific one sells.
Even though I haven't changed its location.
Whether it's at the store or at home, I think items or furniture that haven't moved for a while accumulate a kind of stagnation in the space and the objects themselves.
Plants don't just grow with sunlight and water.
It's similar to how they'll get root rot if they don't get even a gentle breeze to circulate the air.
Just like regularly opening windows to air out a room,
I take out items in the store that are a bit in the shade and don't seem to be getting any airflow,
pick them up, and find the good qualities in them. I really feel that these small observations and
their accumulation are necessary to continue for a long time.
